The design aims at establishing a relationship between the suggested architectural image, the implemented sustainability strategy and the functional program. The issue of flexibility, faced with a design’s experimental nature, represents a central theme in the competition brief. The need of responding to the brief and the interpretation of the program have led to the rejection of any pre-conceived form, in order to achieve a greater freedom. The design strives for an ideal balance point between architecture and the creation of a landmark. The proposal is based on a reflection on the theme of public space and on the notion of event, aimed at  transferring into the design the system of relations established between events and the urban space hosting them. All choices were therefore aimed at creating complexity through the many possible aggregations of interior space rather than through an overly elaborate form.
